Fabricator Costs
The table below gives a breakdown of cost for registering windows with the Thermal Rating Register. Please read the footnotes for further explanation.
The Thermal Rating Register annual license fees are per frame design. The license fee includes up to 3 glazing configurations for that frame design. This will allow a fabricator, by changing glazing configurations, to have an A, B & C rated window for a single £199 license fee.
Simulator costs are dependent on the amount of simulation work involved and your chosen simulator. As a guide simulations costs are around £400-500 plus £50 per glazing configuration. All Thermal Rating Register Simulators are third party contractors.
The Thermal Rating Register has access to the Pilkington WER calculator tool. This tool can be used to create you a WER label without going to full simulation reports. The tool includes all major glass manufacturers and system company profiles. The WER calculator can also be used as an substitution tool enabling you to easily change IGU specification.
